Ryan Meier - Founder

To say that I’m passionate about what I do would be an understatement. I have, as far back as I remember, been completely consumed by all things fantasy, sci-fi, and horror. As a young reader I was obsessed with Stephen King’s stories, jumping headfirst into the worlds of Salem’s Lot, The Long Walk, and eventually The Dark Tower series.

Dragonlance novels written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman are still one of my all-time favorites. Following Tanis, Raistlin, and the group on their wild adventures on Krynn inspire my work and creativity. Currently, you would consider me a Sanderson addict, but let’s be honest, who isn’t. And I would be ashamed to not include my love for the Dresden Files.

Science fiction works such as the Matrix, Blade Runner, Star Wars have embedded themselves in our minds while written works from Frank Herbert, Orson Scott Card, H.G. Wells and many more show us a glimpse into the future, into a world that may yet come to pass.

I launched Worldhoppers Guild in order to support all the amazing self-published fantasy, sci-fi, and horror authors who are trying to share their worlds with passionate fans like myself. We are a community, just like the guilds of old, who seek to work together, build fan bases, and inspire readers of our own.

Personally, I have two finished manuscripts, one nearly edited for publication. If you write you understand the commitment it takes. This commitment is something I want to reward each aspiring writer, author, or artist by providing another platform for success.

There are a million other things I can share and as time goes by I will. Be on the lookout for more short stories and a narration and interview podcast launching soon. Like us on Facebook and share our message!

Your Friend,

Ryan D. Meier

I have proudly contributed several of my own short stories to Worldhoppers Guild, as I am intent on bringing readers into my own worlds as well.

I’m nearing the end of editing on my first novel, Shadows of Creation. It’s book one of a fast-paced epic fantasy trilogy. Look forward to reading it late Q1 / early Q2 2020.

I have a second completed manuscript in the early stages of editing, a fantasy-mystery that has touches of Momento mixed with a mental puzzle that will keep you guessing.

Please feel free to read my contributed short stories and provide any feedback you’d like!
